About the Author/Illustrator
 Rebecca
Gazarik received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the
Columbus College of Art & Design where she majored in
Illustration. Her first children’s book, The Caribbean
Caribou, was born from an idea that reflects the childhood
innocence in all of us. Rebecca quite agrees with Carrington
in the fact that she hates cold weather too! She dreams of
traveling one day, like her friend the caribou, to someplace
much warmer where friends and adventure await.
The
Caribbean Caribou is the first of many wonderful children’s
books that will come from Rebecca. Already she has experienced
success with her second children's book The Caribbean
Caribou's Oceanic Adventure. "My life is dedicated
to art and the beauty it can express. My pictures focus on
animals, nature, and children brought to life through bright
colorful pastels and watercolors." For more information
